...well, more than one. Here's three. :)
I figure that Castle on a Cloud matches up pretty well with young Anakin's dreams.
BEYOND THE STARS
(original)
Anakin: There is a place beyond the stars
I like to go there in my sleep
Aren’t any slaves for them to keep
Not in my place beyond the stars
There is place with shining spires
Brave Jedi Knights with gleaming swords
Close in my dreams, and yet so far
There in my place beyond the stars
There is an angel, filled with light
Holding my hand when I am lost
Her eyes are bright and her smile is too
She says, “I know my heart will go with you.”
I know a place where I can fly
I know a place where slaves are free
People can be just what they are
There in my place beyond the stars
Something about Qui-Gon Jinn always reminds me of Jean Valjean. I'm sure it's partly because Liam Neeson played Valjean in that cheesy movie version in the 90s, but also, they're characters with deep convictions but a maverick streak. Anyway, here's his version of Bring Him Home, during his death scene.
TRAIN THE BOY
(Original)
(Meditating behind the force field)
Qui-Gon: Let the Force
Be my guide
Grant me peace
Tarry here at my side
Lend me strength
In the fight
Though I die
Stay nearby
And the boy
Watch the boy
Train the boy
And now my Padawan is trained
I’ve taught him all that I have known
Obi-Wan
A Jedi Knight
Will soon become
Like a son
He’s been to me
But now that’s done
(He fights Maul; receives a mortal wound; Obi-Wan duels Maul)
Bring them peace
Bring them joy
In their need
He’ll look after the boy
(To Obi-Wan) Promise me
Give me hope
Take the boy
The Chosen One
He will bring balance still
Teach him peace
Teach him hope
Train the boy
Train the boy
Who Am I is a great fit for Luke as he grapples with his identity after learning the truth about his father.
WHO AM I
(Original)
Luke: He tells me I’m his son; I know it can’t be so
My father was his victim all those years ago
I know Ben wouldn’t lie; it’s Vader who is wrong
I won’t renounce the truths I’ve clung to for so long
If it’s true, I am undone
I cannot be Darth Vader’s son
I am a Jedi, defender of justice and goodness and light
How could I be heir to a birthright of violence and hatred and spite?
If it’s true, I am undone
I cannot be Darth Vader’s son
Who am I?
The hidden son of my worst enemy
The source of all my greatest agony
This monster with a heart of stone
The father that I’ve never known
Who am I?
Is it my destiny to follow him?
Submit myself to darkness deep and grim?
Or else to take my father’s life
The only end to all this strife -
Must he die?
Is this the only path before me now?
To kill the man, or else before him bow?
My spirit cries for something more
I’ve heard this yearning call before
The Force will show my path, I know
I learned that lesson long ago
Who am I?
Who am I?
I am his son!
And so I know there’s good in him
And I will bring it back again
Who am I?
Son of Anakin!
