So I was bored and started googling my name. Didn't come up with a whole lot, since I don't use my real name very much on the Internet. I put in Matril then, and included "Star Wars" to ensure that it would find stuff related to me (apparently "matril" is also some sort of science-y prefix, which I didn't know when I made it up ;). Anyway, here's something rather interesting that the search came up with: http://etd.gsu.edu/theses/available/etd-03312008-142833/unrestricted/Pond_Julia_200805_ma.pdf

Ha! Check out page 33 (and my entry in the Works Cited section on page 58). Somehow my little Saga Journal essay has made me a valid enough source for someone's Master's Thesis. So does that mean I'm a level above a Master's Degree? Maybe only in Harry Potterism. But still, this will give me a swelled head for a few days. :)

Yes, but they probably used your own name rather than an Internet alias, right?

Congratulations! I suppose I did notice how a Harry Potter note had been teased out of an essay about Star Wars (and then contemplate that a little), but maybe I'm just being picky or something.

I had the same thought, actually, and it reminded me of how common it is to see Harry Potter scholarship, and how unusual to see the same for Star Wars.
