Episode I on TV, hooray! I feel obligated to watch it, never mind that I have it on DVD and can watch it commercial-free whenever I please. ;) I thought of a tee-shirt I'd love to make and wear, reading "Jar Jar survived. Deal with it." :)

I had a similar "I have this all on DVD anyway, but it's on TV!" feeling not that long ago. Still, I have to admit that the pan-and-scan kind of got to me...

I could handle that first T-shirt; I was pleased to realise that Binks had made it through all three episodes myself (although his role was so small by the end that I somehow have the feeling it may not have mattered much one way or another for at least some...) As for the second one, it came to me a little while back that it seems just possible for me to interpret things as "Han's so cool now he can dodge a blaster bolt!"

The pan-and-scan is pretty dreadful, I agree. Makes me appreciate my widescreen DVD all the more.

Well, either Han's good at dodging or Greedo's a really lousy shot...but again, either way, he's dead. :)

I watched it too! Pan and scan is painful, but it's still better than anything else on t.v. ;).
