This is pretty fun. And I ended up with 100% for my actual religion, so it seems to be fairly accurate. It amuses me, however, that they have a disclaimer about not being responsible for the eternal fate of your soul. :P

My parents are here for the weekend, and I was reflecting about how grateful I am that we share the same religious beliefs. It didn't have to be that way. They taught me their beliefs from the beginning, but they never forced them upon me, and I could have chosen anything I wanted to. I simply came to the conclusion that I, too, believed in the same things they did. It's just so nice not to have conflicts over religion and morality, and to not feel constantly disgruntled that my parents were old-fashioned or ridiculously prudish or whatever. :)

Very interesting quiz - I'm undecided/uncommitted to any particular religion currently, but the results more or less seem to back up what a few people have said they think most closely follows my beliefs.

You know I agree with that, LOL. ;) You're very fortunate, though honestly there really hadn't been any significant religious conflict in my family until my dad joined the church he did a few years ago. Sigh.

Yeah, religious conflict isn't a foregone conclusion just because family members don't see entirely eye-to-eye, but it's a matter of deciding how much you can amicably agree to disagree. And that can be a tricky balance.

Ooookay... it tells me I should be Orthodox Quaker for a 100% match. I can only imagine the expressions on the people who tend to look horrified when they learn I'm a Roman Catholic.

Which, by the way, I came in at 99% on. Which sounds about right, I guess!

I'm Catholic, and I got 100% on both Catholic AND Eastern Orthodox! I can only imagine what a hardcore Orthodox would have to say about that :).

Orthodox Quaker, huh? That's...interesting. It's fun to look through their descriptions of each religion's specific beliefs, although after reading the section on my own religion and catching a few slightly-less-than-accurate descriptions, I have to take their information with a grain of salt. ;)
