matrilWhile the snowspeeder pilots wage a desperate battle against the giant walkers, knowing they can only delay the inevitable, the Rebel base is engulfed in the chaos of an emergency evacuation. The command center is in shambles. Yet even amid these pressing concerns, Leia and Han continue their stubborn tug of war. He comes to make sure she's safe and she snaps at him, telling him to get out. He, in turn, insists on sticking around till she's safely on a ship.
Would the self-sacrificing Leia tend to be the last one to leave anyway, regardless of Han? Maybe. But you get the feeling that she digs her heels in even deeper because he's so insistent. Has to get in another order, while the center is falling down around them. Incredibly, Threepio ends up being the voice of reason here, begging them to leave before it's too late. You get the feeling these two might just let the world burn around them while they each refuse to budge. Thankfully, Leia finally relents, but surely only because it will serve the Rebellion better if she survives to the next battle. It has nothing to do with Han...right?
Next time, it gets worse...
