It takes so much energy and time and effort just to maintain the semi-neat state of the house, let alone actually getting it to a higher level of cleanliness. Clutter forms entirely of its own accord, my children strew things all across the floor, and while I'm attacking one corner, they're doing their best to mess up another. Why do I bother fighting the natural disorder of the universe?
