A Thousand Stars: Episode III, Part 3

Whether you watch the original trilogy first or start with the prequels, this parallel is truly chilling once you encounter it. In an instant you see it, regardless of the difference in situations. The supposedly imprisoned Chancellor and the all-powerful Emperor are in fact the same manipulative monster, glorying in violence and control. Much of the credit goes to Ian McDiarmid's performance, but it's certainly strengthened by the power of Lucas's mirroring imagery. We are then led to see the similarities in the situations of the young Jedi, Anakin and Luke, and rejoice when Luke chooses a different path and shatters the Emperor's carefully laid plots.

I love these movies so much.
