Getting to be something of a habit

matrilSo I drew some more.
Princess Leia's costumes, plus a Vader sketch. Obviously it's a much smaller collection. I did skip a few if they were very similar to ones I'd already drawn, plus I had zero interest in drawing the thing that Jabba makes her wear. Anyway, here they are. :)
The dress she's wearing for almost the entirety of Episode IV. And the hairstyle that no one could possibly have enough real hair to replicate. I've certainly tried.
From the medal ceremony. Not too different from the first.
Her Hoth costume. Take off the vest, and it's what she wears for most of the movie, until Bespin.
And then she changes into this, just for the brief time before Vader shows up. Those looped braids are a little easier to imitate. I wear them all the time.
The dress she wears at the end of Episode V is almost identical to the Episode IV one, so I moved on to Episode VI.
Boussh! It was while drawing this that I had a flash of insight about the Jabba the Hutt sequence and Leia's character arc in relation to Anakin's. I will be writing a long overthink-y post about that soon enough. Meanwhile, I am not great at drawing boots.
For the scene with the Rebellion planning for battle, when Leia finds out that Han's leading the whole crazy mission to take down the shield generator on Endor. "General - count me in."
Then she puts on a camouflage poncho. Ponchos are a popular accessory for Skywalkers (also Qui-Gon Jinn). And I still can't draw boots.
The dress that the Ewoks make for her. With just enough bare leg to show that - you guessed it, I can't draw bare legs either. But from the knees up it's pretty good.
And finally, Darth Vader. Every single picture I looked it, there were shadowed areas that were too indistinct to copy very well. That's my excuse, anyway. I am fed up with boots.
But not fed up with drawing. I'll probably do Luke and Han next. Maybe Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon. This could keep me occupied for a long time. :D
