First rejection came this morning, though I didn't get around to checking my email until the evening. (Yes, I was deliberately keeping myself away to prolong the period of not feeling rejected). It was a rather lovely form letter, urging the rejectee to keep trying and assume that the agent was wrong for turning down the manuscript. Which I will do, but still. Four more to go...

I'm in awe that you were able to keep away for an entire day; in that situation I usually find myself compulsively logging in whenever I have a minute to sit down. At least it was a nice letter, and I'm holding out hope for at least one of the other four.

Well, my patience actually gave out by early afternoon, but then our Internet wasn't working for a while, forcing me to wait yet longer. ;)
