Dreams and daddies

matrilI had the kookiest dream last night...someting to do with SW. For a while it was actually a behind the scenes thing with lots of movie crew wandering around. I would interpret it as my soon to be impossible fantasy of being in a SW movie, except that it was clearly Episode IV, what with the Death Star set and TIE fighters and all. Anyway, it was totally silly until the end, when I was suddenly playing with my baby, whose name is Luke, hugging him and spinning him around in circles. And I was struck all at once by this image of Anakin with baby Luke, doting on him and just being his daddy. The image stuck after I woke up, and I've been thinking about it ever since. It just seems very fitting, even though Anakin will likely become Evil Asthma Man by the time his children are born. (And I don't know the chronology for sure, because I am doing my very best to keep spoiler-free for this next year...wish me luck...) I can just see Anakin being devoted to his kids, playing with them in a sort of goofy, don't-care-if-I'm-acting-silly sort of way. Sigh...so very bittersweet. Wish I were an artist so I could draw a picture of it.
Speaking of Episode III, I can't wait to take my son to see his first (and only :( ) SW movie in the theaters, where he will perhaps see his namesake. No, we didn't technically name him after Luke Skywalker, but there was definitely an influence there. :) And no, we will not name our next child Leia if she's a girl. Heheh.
