Brooding by the window, while Padmé looks on in concern. Then they draw closer, only for Anakin to say a startling thing that unsettles Padmé.



In Episode II, Padmé is thrown off balance that Anakin is no longer a child. It's growing harder for her to deny her attraction. But Episode III, the issue is far more concerning. Her husband declares that he will not let her die in childbirth, that he's found a way to save her. The intensity of his promise is not reassuring. Before she can reply, the scene closes with another foreboding screen-wipe into darkness.
