After the nightmare, Anakin wakes in terror. He looks to Padmé's peacefully sleeping form, but seems to find little reassurance. Even as he trembles at the prospect of losing her, he pulls away, leaving the room.

Look at this eerie silhouette, with Padmé only a blurry figure in the background. And even when he reaches out to touch the japor snippet that had fangirls like me squeeing in delight, it's only a deflection to avoid talking about his nightmare.

Distance, distance, distance. The memory of the nightmare is so raw and potent, it seems he can hardly bear to stand near her or look at her.

This pose is so poignant; Padmé trying to reach out to him, Anakin putting his back to her. In this instance it's presumably because his anguish is too overwhelming to bear looking her in the eye...but it foreshadows a much nastier rift between them.

Sidenote, I love how the instant Anakin describes the awful end of his vision-dream, Padmé instantly reaches for her baby in worry. Sob.

At last they draw close again, but watch how their embrace is cinematically pressed down by the weight of the Jedi temple. Not too hard to guess the meaning of that imagery. There is bad stuff coming for their fragile little family.
