matrilWhen Obi-Wan is brought to meet Jango Fett, the dialogue indicates a polite conversation. Perhaps a bit stiff and formal, but otherwise unremarkable. Little Boba says a willing Sure to the request to come in. His face says something different.
(We've probably all heard the story of how Ewan coached Daniel to regard him as if he smelled like poop. An effective tip, evidently.)
Then Obi-Wan and Jango have their little exchange of apparent pleasantries. You have lovely clones. Oh, thanks. Ever been to Coruscant? Now and then. Enjoy your army.
No one's saying what they're really thinking. Meanwhile, we have clear evidence that Jango is the selfsame figure who killed Zam.
Does Obi-Wan see it? He'd be a pretty poor investigator if he didn't. Note how he's still looking that way for a bit after Jango changes position.
Then, in case any audience members missed it, we get a closer look as Boba goes to shut the door.
Jango keeps his face implacable, but his clone/son shows what they're both feeling.
Smelly Jedi. Something fishy is afoot.
Next time, Edenic imagery abounds....
