Good stuff
May. 9th, 2010 04:25 pmHappy Mother's Day! I haven't posted in a little while, but things have been going pretty well here. We just had Emma's birthday (she's five now), our anniversary (eight years!), and my husband's birthday (he's still five years older than I am). Also, my parents came to visit since my dad had a conference in Boston. While they were here, I twisted my foot running up the stairs (what is it with me and stairs?) but it's already nearly back to normal, so nothing like my last foot injury.
And today, for Mother's Day, I had breakfast in bed, homemade cards from the kids, and a note from my husband describing his gift - tickets to the Boston Pops, with guest conductor John Williams, celebrating the music of Hollywood. :D :D :D I've never had much interest in concerts of any bands or such, but this? Perfection. And I get to wear my pretty formal dress. (I'm sure I could wear something semi-formal, but I like wearing fancy clothing. I don't get much chance to do it. So, this Wednesday. Hooray!

Date: 2010-05-10 01:24 am (UTC)I saw Williams's similar show at the Hollywood Bowl in 2006. It'll be fun!
