Well, that explains it. The Secret Agent has been unveiled, and it's someone who already rejected my query. Actually, her assistant did. No hard feelings - my novel isn't really the darker fantasy she prefers. And now I've gotten specific feedback from an agent. This actually makes me feel better. Though I would have preferred it if the agent was someone I hadn't queried yet, and thus had a theoretical chance of impressing. Ah, well. There will be other contests, perhaps.
