A Thousand Stars: Episode I, Part 14
Apr. 7th, 2022 12:10 pmThe stars fill our view, and then we see Anakin's upturned face.

A simple shot, yet it says so much. The stark contrast of two figures wearing soft warm colors, against a backdrop of complete blackness. The simple wonder and delight in Anakin's face, touched with shadows but bright-eyed. The child's optimism of being "the first one to see them all." The heartbreak at the cost of such dreams.
Have you ever gazed up at the stars and imagined what it would be like to soar among them, see them up close? What if you lived in a time and place where interstellar travel was not only possible, but an ordinary feature of daily life for many travelers? To look at the glittering lights and know that nearly every one of them represents an entire world or more? That all you need to get there is ship and a destination?
Of course Anakin would dream of this. And we know that his dreams are more potent than the usual. He's dreamed of becoming a Jedi, freeing slaves. He dreams of seeing every star system in the galaxy. Infinitely out of reach, yet tantalizingly possible. He dreams of walking the sky.
