Drabble #7

Emma is saying her brother's name now. I can't begin to say how wonderful that is. She had been saying mommy, daddy, nanny for some time, and it was worrisome that she didn't have a name for her brother. I had all sorts of panicked theories that it was because he seldom responds to his own name, or because he doesn't say his name himself, or because she thought of him as a non-person...but I really think it was the far simpler fact that "Luke" is kind of a tricky word. Even now she says something more like "Yuuuke." But it's clear what she means, and I'm very, very happy.

And now to finish the first week of drabbles. I accidentally started a pregnancy theme before; I'm going to intentionally continue it today. :P
