Weather ramblings

Of course we'd be all out of cereal and have to go out in the snowstorm...I hate being among all the lemmings who rush to the grocery store at the first sign of snow; we're not panicky like that and we have plenty of food in storage should an actual emergency arise...but we had to go out anyway to dump our trash (weird town we live in, where you have to take your trash to the dump yourself instead of leaving it for the garbage men), so we figured we'd pick up some food as well. Good grief, but it was insane! I'm staying inside for the rest of the day. The ironic thing is, all these people I'm grumbling about were probably thinking the same things about me...my gut reaction is never empathy; it's always "get out of my way; whatever you're doing couldn't possibly be as important as my business." I really need to get outside myself every one in a while. ;)
