Yeah, it was a total hack job. Superficial similarities without any real depth of storytelling. Trying to replicate the feeling of the original (which is a stupid thing to try in the first place) without doing anything new. Ironically, the only thing it really accomplishes is ruining all the happy feelings that came from the original trilogy. I can do without that, thanks.
