The fact that Abrams says about the table read "wasn't it great to see all 3 of them together" ...well, you wrote the movie, sir. You had the three of them UNDER CONTRACT AND THERE...and then you decide to have no scenes with them before you murder one of their characters? The one you really have to work at to get back as a Force ghost or anything? It's insanity to waste chemistry and audience goodwill like that. Because if I see 8 or 9, it's going to be as cheaply as I can and only to support Mark and Carrie. I would have soldiered on if they'd given me anything to work with. I won't be seeing any other movies (Rogue One, Young Han and whatever else), didn't buy the DVD, am not buying the new books (and with the character assassination I've read in just excerpts...). So...
I've read people saying "oh, they couldn't have had all three of them in one movie, it would overwhelm the new people" - well, then the writers should be looking at their own writing, if that's the case.
