matrilFrom the beginning of this insane project, I was pretty sure which scenes I would use for One Day More, the vast, multi-part finish to Act I. It's perfect for a big battle sequence with lots of different voices. I decided to use it twice, for the Battle of Naboo and for the Battle of Endor.
Here's the Naboo version. It's impossible to convey how each part fits in with the others, but oh well. Total mayhem is fun.

Another day, another destiny
This never-ending quest for liberty
To stop the Federation’s pow’r
We’ll bring to pass the judgment hour
One day more
Anakin: My desert home is far away
Will I be lost without my mother?
Padmé: One day more
Anakin: They said I can’t be trained today
Will Qui-Gon help me, or another?
Obi-Wan: One more day before the end
(Anakin: Will I see my mom again?)
Obi-Wan: When my training is completed
(Anakin: But they told me not to fear)
Obi-Wan: Master, I must make amends
(Anakin: Though I feel so lonely here)
Obi-Wan: Now our partnership is done
Panaka: One more day, and Theed is ours!
(Anakin: How can Qui-Gon keep me safe?)
Panaka: Once we’ve made it to the palace
(Anakin: Will the Jedi take me there?)
Panaka: When the Viceroy’s in our pow’r
(Anakin: Blasters shooting everywhere!)
Panaka: We will have our victory!
(All: The time is now, the day is here!)
Padmé: One day more!
Qui-Gon: One more foe to be defeated
As this phantom menace grows
If the boy can bring back balance
I must teach him all I know
Padmé: One day more!
Tarpals and Jar Jar: Starting up the shields
Ready for the fight
Battle droids are coming
Such an awful sight
Steady as you can
When this war is won
Gungans and Naboo
Will finally live as one!
Group 1 (Padmé, Panaka and fighters): One more day to gain our freedom
Group 2 (Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon): Is the boy the Chosen One?
Group 1: May the Force be with us all
Group 2: May the Force be with us all
Group 1: There’s a vict’ry for the winning
Group 2: There’s a vict’ry to be won
Both Groups: Can you hear our freedom call?
Anakin: My place is here, and here I’ll hide!
Padmé: One day more!
(All overlapping)
Anakin: This ship has taken me away
Obi-Wan: One last day before the end
Anakin: How can I help them now I’ve come here?
Qui-Gon: We will join our foe in combat
We will follow where he goes
Will we find the one who taught him?
Will we know the things he knows?
Padmé: One day more!
Anakin: If I can make it through this day
Obi-Wan: Could the boy become my friend?
Anakin: A perfect shot, and then I’m done here
Qui-Gon: One more foe to be defeated
Then I’ll train the Chosen One
And the Force will find its balance
Jar Jar and Tarpals: Watch the shield collapse
Danger all around
Suddenly our enemy
Is falling down!
Padmé: Now, Viceroy your defeat is near
Padmé and Qui-Gon: The Force is surely with us here
All: Tomorrow we’ll rebuild this city
And dispel the scourge of war
One more dawn
One more day
One day more!
Then there's the wonderful piece with counterparts between Javert and Valjean, right after Fantine dies. Of course, of course, I used that for the confrontation between Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader, right when he begins to lash out Padmé. I'm rather bemused at my ability to stretch out Obi-Wan's "Let her go" into six lines of song....

Anakin: I’m done with your lies!

Obi-Wan: (Counter with Anakin)
Your anger and your lust for pow’r
They have destroyed the dear old friend I knew
Twisted by the dark lord’s hate
You have turned into the thing
That you once swore to destroy
I see the pain the Dark Side brings
My only cause is freedom and the light!
If you will not change your path
I will do what I must do
As a Sith, you’re truly lost
I’ve failed you, Anakin!
Now it’s done; you can’t prevail
I’ve the higher ground at last
Do not try, I’m begging you
I cannot let you win! (Cuts off Anakin’s limbs)
Anakin: (Counter with Obi-Wan)
You will not take her from me
I don’t fear the Dark Side now.
No. I see through your lies.
I have brought peace at last
My new Empire
Obi-Wan. If you’re not with me
Then you are my enemy
You will try and you will fail
I should have seen the Jedi’s plots
And the malice in their minds
From my view, their evil’s clear
How can you remain so blind?
In the end, I must prevail
Do not underrate my pow’r
I’m a stronger man than you
None can do what I can do (Tries to jump)
Obi-Wan: And yet you were the Chosen One...
Anakin: I don’t want your pity now...
Obi-Wan: In darkness you became my foe...
Anakin: I’ll hate you with my final breath...
Obi-Wan: You were my brother, Anakin
While you still lived, I loved you so
