Mar. 9th, 2006 09:02 pmI'm in a very STAR WARS sort of mood right now, probably because I was driving home listening to my AOTC soundtrack. So here's something I had a lot of fun with.
Guess which movie I'm describing!
1. A royal political idealist, thanks to the machinations of a Sith Lord, finds herself in circumstances that prevent her from forwarding her cause. Through a series of fortuitous events, she encounters a boy from Tatooine who is able to alter the circumstances that resulted in her inaction. Later, he becomes the unexpected hero of a battle in space, and a joyous celebration ensues.
2. The same political idealist is thrown together with a hero of past battles, and they travel to remote locations to go into hiding. There, they begin to deal with the strong feelings they have with each other. Meanwhile, a Jedi goes on a quest and makes some disturbing discoveries. Struck by a premonition of impending danger, a Jedi rashly embarks on a rescue mission that will end badly. As the hero and the idealist are on the brink of being separated, possibly by death, the idealist confesses her love. The Jedi confronts a Sith Lord, loses a limb and barely escapes with his life. There is a victory of sorts, but many things remain unresolved, and the Jedi and the idealist stand together to face an uncertain future.
3. After a daring rescue mission that showcases how far a Jedi's powers have progressed, his struggles to make the right choices become more complicated. While a terrible war wages, the Jedi is tempted by the Dark Side more fiercely than ever before, in the place where he is most vulnerable - concerning those dear to him.
So.....did you get it? ;) An addendum to #3, of course, would be two possible conclusions:
a. The Jedi, consumed by despair, falls to the Dark Side, pulling the galaxy into darkness and tyranny. Only his newborn children hold any hope for the future.
b. The Jedi, warned by the path of his father's life, draws back from the pull of evil, thus redeeming his father and restoring hope and joy to the galaxy.
I thought it was pretty fun. Yea for symmetry!
