Facebook?
My sister invited me to join Facebook, so I did. I'd heard of it but I wasn't at all familiar with it. I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems geared toward college students and the like. Not being in college or gainfully employed, I can't see that I have any networks to join, unless there's a United Front of Mothers Who Like to Waste Time on the Internet. :P Anyway, a bunch of my friends from high school are on there, so it's nice to keep in touch and stuff. But methinks I still prefer Livejournal - it seems much more navigatable.
As soon as I joined, my other sister and one my high school friends immediately popped on and said, "Oo, you're here!" Nice to be wanted, but how in the world did they find me so quickly? I guess they actually access your address book through your email account and find everyone in it who's registered. I'm not sure how I feel about that....but I don't have any scary people in my address book, so I guess it's okay. Also, the fact that the profile includes marital status and "looking for men/women" indicates what one of its primary purposes might be. ;)
